A Day in the Windy City

On a sunny Sunday we headed to Victoria for a day of fun. The only two things on the agenda were biking on the Galloping Goose trail and eating dinner at Red Robins. Other activities just filled in around these.

We found parking and unloaded our bikes for a ride. The boys did well. We left our camera in the truck so no route pictures. We headed one direction and biked for a while and then changed direction and headed back towards the truck. We continued past the truck and downtown in search of ice cream. After a bit of improvising we made it to DQ.
When we loaded the bikes back into the truck the boys had accomplished a 25km bike ride. That's great for Peter considering this was probably only his 3rd "real" bike ride.
Now we were on our way to Dallas road to go fly our kite. The wind had picked up and it was blowing hard.
After leaving Clover point we cruised around and found this park hidden in a subdivision.
It was blowing so hard that it felt like one little jump would put you into flight.

One of the views from the rocks.

Next we were on the hunt for a playground. We found this school in Fairfield, I believe. It had the coolest old trees. They reminded me of an arm with an open hand.

We met this fellow later on at Red Robins. The onion ring tower was a big hit.
It was a great day of sunshine and fun with the boys!
