Change of plans Monday

The kids had 2 Pro-D days this week(Monday &Tuesday) so Anders took Monday off so we could hang out together. Johan wanted to spend the day with Sophie in Coombs so that is what he did. Ben went up Mt. Washington to go snowboarding with his friend Hunter. We had plans to go to Vancouver for the day and take in some of the Olympic celebrations. At the last minute we changed plans. After consulting with Teresa we decided to forgo the LONG line ups and HUGE crowds and spent our day in Victoria.

The turned out to be wonderful in every way. The sunshine was fabulous and we were able to take it all in along with some sights.

We went to Esquimalt and had lunch at Sax Park which in on the water and yes these daffodils were in bloom there.

Peter picked this for meWe left Esquimalt and headed downtown for a walk around the harbour and then up through town for a coffee. The boys practiced blowing bubbles while we waited for our coffee.
Every where we walked we encountered trees full of blossoms. It was beautiful!
After coffee we headed for Clover Point to watch the kites and play on the beach


I have no pictures for documentation but ice cream was the next stop.

We were off again to find a playground. We didn't want to miss a minute of the sunshine.

Next we headed to Mount Doug to have a view of the city as the sun was getting close to setting.

Our day was wrapped up with Buzzard wings(hot wings) and Burgers at Red Robins.
It was a day of Time well spent, talking, walking, eating and enjoying each others company. These are some of my favorite days!
