According to Webster,
Football: 1. A game played by two teams of eleven players kicking a ball in an attempt to score goals 2. any of various similar games.
According to The Lindstrom Family Football is many things:
9 practices and 3 games per week. Faithfully attending all practices and working hard. Lots of grass stains and smelly football socks. Practices on very hot days in the beginning and ending with 6am practices in the dark and cold. Juggling meals and schedules to make sure all are feed and in the place they are suppose to be. Standing on the side lines cheering in all weather. But most importantly, the joy of playing something they love and being able to watch our boys who we love.
Ben and Johan also did some refereeing this season. Here you can see Ben in the white shorts helping to ref Niklas' game (#7)

It is very hard to get good pictures of Ben playing football because in his position he seems to always be in the middle of the "mosh pit"
For those of you having a hard time seeing him I have made it a bit easier!
Ben is #33 in this video clip. This is a tackle he made when he was "called up" to play with the seniors under the lights in Courtneay.

Photographer Toby Gorman from The News Bulletin took the next two picture of Johan. The second one made it to the newspaper...front page of the sports section. Johan was pleased.
